Bio

Heather M. Whitney, Ph.D. is a research assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at The University of Chicago. Her experience in quantitative medical imaging has ranged from polymer gel dosimetry to radiation damping in nuclear magnetic resonance to now focusing on computer-aided diagnosis and prognosis (CADx) of breast cancer and COVID-19 imaging. She is interested in investigating repeatability and robustness as well as fairness metrics in AI.
