Dr. Ken Chang

Ken is a MD-PhD student at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. He completed his PhD in 2020 under Drs. Jayashree Kalpathy-Cramer and Bruce Rosen at the Quantitative Translational Imaging Laboratory at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging. The topic of his research was developing AI techniques to enhance medical imaging workflows. He is currently in his last year of medical school and plans to work at the intersection of computer science and radiology, integrating deep learning tools into clinical practice.

Week 8 Closing Ceremony Speaker: Distributed Deep Learning Techniques for Medical Imaging

Vast quantities of data needed to train effective deep learning models are often dispersed across institutions and not easily shared due to ethical, infrastructure, or patient privacy concerns. In this talk, I will discuss distributed training of deep learning models that do not require sharing patient data for multi-institutional collaborative settings.
