Bio
I work as a medical physicist for the McGill University Health Center where my primary goals are MR safety, image quality and value. My research involves pulse sequence design and image reconstruction methods in the context of radiation therapy planning. Additionally, I’ve worked on imaging and therapeutic protocols for MRI-guided Focused Ultrasound, and whether MR images can identify specific tumour areas that benefit from localized treatment.
Week 6 Workshop: Intro to MR Physics and Fourier Reconstruction
A brief overview of NMR signal generation and how we can exploit a Fourier relationship using linear magnetic field gradients. This Fourier relationship is explored in the context of image reconstruction. K-space sampling, resolution and point spread functions, and artifacts are introduced.
